Drawing a New City: Brasilia, Fordlandia, and Ciudad Guayana
Lúcio Costa won the 1957 competition for its urban plan, and by 1960 the city stood on the central plateau. Few of them found a place in the city they had built. The plan drew Ciudad Guayana as a linear city.
