Carl Abbott, considered the youngest and last surviving member of the Sarasota School of Architecture, has died in Florida at the age of 90. Abbott was an active champion of preserving Sarasota’s unique architectural legacy, serving on the advisory board of the Sarasota Architectural Foundation, a predecessor organization of Architecture Sarasota. com Abbott was active in Sarasota’s still-vibrant architecture community until the end.
