Studio Joseph Adds a Back-of-House Structure to a Landmarked Staten Island Music Hall

The Snug Harbor Music Hall in Staten Island has received a much-needed back-of-house addition. The grounds include a Greek Revival music hall built in 1892, the second oldest in the city, which is now joined by a contemporary support addition designed by New York City-based architecture firm Studio Joseph. Like other historic buildings on the Snug Harbor campus, the 686-seat music hall features a pedimented limestone portico and reddish-brown brick elevations.
