Grace Farms by SANAA: River Building in New Canaan, Connecticut
Grace Farms in New Canaan, Connecticut, organizes worship, study, dining, recreation, and community activity along a 1,400-foot roof that follows a descending meadow landscape. Designed by SANAA, the River building uses a continuous canopy to connect distinct enclosed programs while making open-air movement, changing weather, and cultivated terrain central to the architectural experience. We imagined the building as a river.
