Juan Soriano’s Former Studio in Luis Barragán and Max Cetto’s Edificio para Artistas, Now PARA A Gallery

PARA A occupies a former artist studio in Edificio para Artistas, a 1939 to 1941 live-work building by Luis Barragán and Max Cetto on Plaza Melchor Ocampo in Mexico City. The gallery reactivates the double-height rooms, mezzanines, terraces, and large steel-framed windows that once supported the work of Juan Soriano and Clara Porset. Large, steel-framed windows form the principal interface between studio and city.
